EAM designed a round ceramic ring assembly with a small inner diameter and a specific magnetic pattern imprint – lining up the peak poles of the magnet with those of the stir bar.

Enabling customers makes us proud. In this case, the coupling EAM designed for a specific application has enabled the customer to not only improve their line of magnetically driven lab stirring machinery but also produce one of the most powerful magnetically driven lab stirrers on the market today!

This type of stirring machinery is desirable because it allows the liquid to remain completely sterile. The coupling also had to resist high temperatures. Our team determined both the shape and optimal material combination to meet the demanding needs.

The EAM design was a complete success, as our magnetic coupling was able to hit 184 RPM through a honey-like fluid! The nearest competitor’s design was able to reach only 76 RPM under similar conditions. That says it all.  Read more about it…
